Vegas is of course the city of all things wild: nights, parties, stag-dos. So it would be pretty rude if there wasn’t a Wild in the game.
Welcome to Neon lights and Linking Wild delights.
There’s a member of the G2G team called Manish who I call James, because he just loves all things James. Favourite book: James and the Giant Peach. Favourite author: James Joyce. Favourite whiskey: Jameson. Favourite movie: any one of the James Bond series. Favourite band: James.
You get the picture. And I’m a bit like that too, when it comes to mobile slots. Anything with or about Las Vegas gets me quite excited. So I was all desperate to be the one to get to review the Wild Neon slot, that has Las Vegas written all over it.
Where to play Wild Neon for real
Wild Neon brings Vegas to you
Only the second ever appearance by a Push Gaming slot here at Guide 2 Gambling. The only other mobile game of theirs we reviewed was Star Fall, a somewhat cool retro game that we enjoyed but not one we felt was destined for greatness. So how will Wild Neon fare?
Push Gaming’s new release doesn’t come into the Jackpot category of slots, instead relying on free spins and a very special Wild to deliver you those big wins.
As revealed already, there’s as strong a scent of Vegas on this slot as there is of fresh shrimp at one of the city’s famed all-you-can-eat-buffets. If you can get yourself to the City of Sin then good on you. You’ll have the time of your life. But if you can’t get to Vegas then let Vegas come to you via the power of the mobile phone. Ok, ‘What goes in Mumbai/Bangalore/Ahmedabad/Kolkata/Jaipur stays in…’ doesn’t have quite the same ring to it as ‘What goes in Vegas, stays in Vegas’ but we do what we can. Wild Neon is of course also available to play on Desktop.
Are we on the famous strip in the year 2035?
Close your eyes, imagine it’s the year 2035 and you’re walking down the famed Vegas strip with casinos, diners and all-night party nightclubs surrounding you. You now live in an era of Neon lights and synthesizer-dominated music. Can you picture it? Well if you can, then you’ve pretty much imagined exactly what the Wild Neon slot looks like.
Theme & Symbols
It’s a 5×3 reel mobile slot with cool, clean, crisp futuristic-looking symbols. Even the normally somewhat tiresome playing card symbols look flashy, bright and intriguing. Most of the other symbols are related to things you’d associate with Vegas, casinos and slot machines: a lucky 7, a lemon, a bell, cherries and a star.
Vegas is, of course, the city of all things wild: nights, parties, stag-dos, to name but a few. So it would be pretty rude if there wasn’t a Wild in the game. It’s a big, bright yellow symbol and it says, er…Wild…on it. You can’t miss it.
Here’s a quirky little aspect of the game. The music in the background plays to pretty much the same beat throughout except when you’ve already secured two Bonus symbols from across the first four reels. As the fifth reel spins, the beat increases to create a feeling of tension and suspense. Ok, maybe not to Alfred Hitchcock proportions but it certainly adds something to the slot.
Multiple Wilds in play in the free spins feature
If you want to learn how to play Wild Neon in terms of its features, you’ve come to the right section. Read on, folks.
Linking Wilds feature
If you land more than one wild symbol on the same spin, the symbols that lie in between the two wilds will become wild as well. For example, if wilds hit on reels 1 and 5 of the middle row, the symbols in reels 2, 3 and 4 on the middle row will become wild too. So you could all of a sudden have a winning combination with four or five symbols just on the back of that.
It’s a really refreshing feature that is somewhat similar to the path of destruction left behind during the Toro Goes Wild bonus round in Wild Toro. And potentially as profitable as buying shares in Apple on the eve of the release of the first iPhone.
Similar to most slots, the free spins are the main attraction amongst the Wild Neon features, just as gambling is the main attraction in Vegas itself. Three Bonus symbols anywhere on the reels and the free spins start right way, right?
The first part is very much accurate but the second is way, way off. That’s because there are plenty of goodies to look forward to before you start your free spins.
You’ll be presented with six boxes and invited to pick’em. So a bit like in ‘Deal or no Deal’. But without the 80s haircut and loud shirts.
Ok, so in true game show style, ‘here’s what you can win’:
- A 2x Multiplier that doubles all your free spins wins.
- Cash prizes.
- 5 extra free spins.
- Extra Wild symbols. What happens here is that the box you pick can reveal regular symbols (such as the bell or the cherry) and they’ll become Wilds during the free spins. And you remember what they do when they’re Wild, right? Yes, they link to other Wilds. So if you picked the bell symbol and you got any two bells during the free spins, they’d link up and give you a win.
What you don’t want to see before you start the free spins is the ‘Start free spins’ message. If you pick that box it means that you’ve run out of goodies. Very occasionally, the first box you pick will say that and you won’t have any extras to take into the free spins but it normally gives you at least a couple of goodies to help you win.
Wild Neon can put Push Gaming on the radar
First things first: if Push Gaming’s Wild Neon and Star Fall were in a big Las Vegas boxing match against one another the referee would have to stop the fight pretty early because it would be deemed an unfair contest. Wild Neon is a far superior mobile slot. So we’re eagerly awaiting Push Gaming’s next releases on the back of that.
We really liked it. From the clean graphics to the Las Vegas theme, to the powerful Wild to the fact that you can go into the free spins armed with extra wilds, there’s plenty of original thought here.
It’s one to enjoy rather than one to expect outrageous wins from because you tend to secure smallish steady wins thanks to the Wild in the base game rather than anything huge from a one-off spin. Unless you happen to land three or more Wilds during the free spins.
To play Wild Neon for real money you’ll first need to open an account on any of our top trusted Indian online casinos. It shouldn’t take you longer than the time it takes you to think of seven different sinful things you can do in Vegas.
