Review of Arabian Nights slot by NetEnt
With the Arabian Nights slot, we’ll travel to exotic lands, unless of course you live in an exotic land already. Coming from a country like India, it is already the case for us and therefore, the Arabian Nights slot will be just like taking a walk in the park.. It may be a few years old, but it’s one of my all-time most popular Jackpot slots.

Arabian Nights slot will keep you up until dawn
Here’s another gem that I found in the attic. Although let’s face it, it’s such a popular online slot it never stays in the attic for that long.
The G2G’s Blog takes a lot of pride in dusting off priceless old slots and giving them the attention they deserve. I call them Reel Relics, and the Arabian Nights slot is definitely no exception.
Arabian Nights was released in May 2013 by the big hitter, NetEnt. Since then the Jackpot slot has spent almost 1000 days on the G2G’s ’ Top Games page.
Over in the slot section, I’ve also written slot reviews on Divine Fortune and Warlords: Crystals of Power, two more popular NetEnt slots, meaning the super provider is never too far away from my mind.
The popularity of the slot may, of course, have something to do with its massive Jackpot. The highest to date was a huge pay-out of over €8.6 million. That’s enough to buy you one elegant house in Mumbai’s prime areas like Nariman Point, Juhu or Bandra or multiple houses across the country and live the rest of your life like a boss.
One thousand and one nights… of fun
Based on the classic “One Thousand and One Nights” saga, you’ll find plenty of symbols representing the story in the online slot.
You might ask why 1001 nights? Well, the original teller of the famous Arabian tales was the concubine of a powerful sultan and the original queen of the cliff-hanger… and it saved her life. The sultan was well known for killing off his charges after one night. So, every night she would invent a new tale and end the narrative in the middle of a story. And in so doing, she saved her life until she could escape three years later.
Back to more serious matters… the symbols of the game.
The wild for this jackpot slot also pays the highest and is your yellow brick road to the Jackpot (oops, that’s Wizard of Oz – wrong fairy tale).
The wild is a sleazy looking guy who I can only assume is a jewel thief. He looks like someone right out of a Bollywood movie where he has been cast to play the role of the villain’s sidekick. You know exactly what I’m talking about. But for those sensitive souls out there, worry not, because the rest of the video slot is a lot more Disney than Ram Gopal Varma. Every timeMr. Sleazy shows up on screen you’ll be rewarded with a dismissive grunt.
The scatter is a decidedly cartoony magical oil lamp, but more about that later.
Other symbols to look out for include a smug looking camel (I would love to know what exactly a camel has to be smug about), Bedouin tents and a fez. Alongside the 10, J, Q and K, the slot is rounded off with a Scimitar and a pair of Khassas. Not sure what those are? No worries, neither was I.
A scimitar is a curved sword and Khassas are a pair Aladdin shoes, the ones with the curled-up toes – quite similar to your majori shoes we get in India, except for the highly pointy thing at the end. You are welcome!
Win with any of these symbols and the tempo of the music changes and is sure to make you want to get up a do a belly dance… if you are in that way inclined.
The free spins feature is only an added bonus
Most progressive jackpot slots don’t offer any bonus games, and even if they do, they won’t offer you the ability to win the jackpot while playing through your free spins. With Arabian Nights, that definitely isn’t the case.
So, how do you play the Arabian Nights slot? It’s a progressive jackpot, which means that every time anyone plays the game, the jackpot gets a little bigger. Other than that, it’s just like a regular video slot.
Rub the lamp for free spins
The scatter symbol in Arabian Nights is Aladdin’s lamp. Get three of these genie houses and you’ll activate 15 free spins. To be honest, the free spins are quite dull, but on the plus side, any winnings you receive during the free spins will be multiplied by three. So it will keep your bankroll going for a little longer.
Of course, the real kicker with this slot is that it is a progressive jackpot. So how would you need to play the slot to win the jackpot? Well, the same way you normally would… with a lot of luck on your side. So grab your hand of Fatima and set up your evil eyes to make sure lady luck is on your side.
You’ll win the jackpot if you get five of the jewel thief, the symbol that we have affectionately been calling Mr. Sleazy. Get all five and you won’t see loads of fireworks on screen, but you will most likely be a few million Euros richer. So who needs the fireworks?
Even if you are unlucky enough to win the jackpot just after it resets, you can still call yourself pretty lucky, because you will still win a minimum of 10 000 coins.
Will Arabian Nights see the light of day?
Here at Reel Relics, I think the Arabian Nights slot is one of the best slots around, it’s a classic jackpot slot just like Hall Of Gods. It may seem a little juvenile on the surface, but scratch a little deeper and it could make you an instant millionaire. But you are going to have fun playing it, nonetheless.
Being a progressive jackpot slot, it’s a really good thing that it’s such a popular video slot, since the more that people play it, the higher the jackpot.
Play this slot on your mobile while riding your camel into the sunset.
