How Does it Work?
If you have ever used normal bank wire transfers, you know the drill: account numbers, IFSC codes, beneficiary approvals, and waiting. UPI removes all of that.
UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is run by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), under the oversight of the Reserve Bank of India. It links your bank account to a simple ID, called a UPI ID or VPA (Virtual Payment Address), and moves money between bank accounts in seconds, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
To pay, you need only one of three things: the other party’s UPI ID, a QR code to scan, or a payment request that opens your UPI app. You approve every payment with your UPI PIN, and the money comes straight out of your bank account.
UPI: Dominating Payments Since 2016
UPI launched in 2016 and has grown into the world’s busiest real-time payment system. In September 2026 alone, it handled more than 24 billion transactions, and monthly values now run at close to ₹30 lakh crore.
You can use UPI through dozens of apps. PhonePe handles around 46% of UPI transactions, Google Pay about 32% and Paytm about 8%, with Navi, BHIM, WhatsApp Pay, and banking apps sharing the rest. For a casino deposit, it makes no difference which one you choose, because they all run on the same system and draw on the same bank account.
Here is what that means in practice at a casino:
- Deposits are instant. The money usually shows in your casino balance within a minute or two.
- Deposits are free. UPI payments carry no charge for you, and a casino should not add one either.
- Limits come from UPI and your bank. The standard UPI ceiling is ₹1,00,000 per transaction, which is why most casino UPI limits stop at ₹50,000 or ₹1,00,000. Your bank may also set its own daily cap.
- The app is interchangeable. If PhonePe, Paytm and Google Pay all appear in a cashier, they are usually the same UPI channel with the same limits.

How to Deposit and Withdraw with UPI
Depositing with UPI looks almost identical at every casino:
- Log in and open the cashier.
- Choose UPI, or the app you want to use (PhonePe, Google Pay, or Paytm).
- Enter your deposit amount.
- Scan the QR code, enter the UPI ID shown, or tap the button that opens your UPI app.
- Check the amount, enter your UPI PIN and confirm.
- Return to the casino and wait for your balance to update.
Minimum deposits range from ₹100 at BETVIBE and JeetWin to ₹500 at most others. Glassi is the one to watch, with UPI deposits capped at ₹10,000.
Withdrawals rarely run through UPI. At every India-facing casino I have reviewed, winnings go back to your bank account by IMPS or bank transfer instead. IMPS is UPI’s older sibling, also run by NPCI, and it uses your account number and IFSC code rather than a UPI ID. Expect a minimum of about ₹1,000, a cap of around ₹50,000 per request at most sites, and two to four days for the money to land. Rajabets is the high-roller exception, with IMPS withdrawals of up to ₹10,00,000.
Before your first withdrawal, make sure that:
- your casino account and bank account are in the same name
- you have completed account verification
- you have cleared any bonus wagering, or the withdrawal may be cancelled
If a deposit leaves your bank but does not reach your casino balance, do not pay again. Check the status in your UPI app first. Failed or pending payments are normally returned to your bank automatically. If the payment shows as successful, send the UTR (transaction reference) number and a screenshot to live chat.
