If ET had played this slot, he never would’ve phoned home. Retro games are Realistic Games speciality and Fruit Factory is no exception.

Fruit Factory – Juicy blast from the past

Fruit Factory is a quirky game from the kings of retro slots, Realistic Games. It seems basic on the surface, but with an awesome bonus game and the opportunity to play the game in Super Game Mode, Fruit Factory is anything but outdated.

Freshly squeezed fun

Time to step back into a simpler time; a time illuminated by neon and with a soundtrack by Duran Duran. There’s nothing quite like the 80s. The Fruit Factory video slot is sure to bring you back to a time when How I Met Your Mother’s ‘Barney’ was known to us all as Doogie Howser.

But don’t worry. You won’t need a giant brick of mobile to play this one on the go.

The Fruit Factory video slot produces great fun

Here to the G2G, I’m really enjoyed revealing some of my favourite slots that haven’t gotten the attention they deserved.

So who are these slots? I have a whole bunch of fantastic games sitting in our attic. Like dusting off an old family heirloom, I’ve found some amazing casino slots. So, now’s the time to shine a little light into the darkest room in the house.

This slot review is all about one of my favourites, Fruit Factory. At first glance, you might think that this is a classic slot machine from the 1980s, but it was actually only released in 2016. A bit like watching an episode of The Goldbergs then.

If you’re a fan of Realistic’s – Cashing Rainbows or Big Wheel, you’ll love this online slot. If you want to you can play the slot on a Commodore 64, although you might face some problems. Like the fact that no-one has used that word for 20 years, let alone owns one of them.

But no worries, you can still give it a spin on your mobile, tablet, or a PC you bought in this century.

Got juice?

So, what’s the slot all about? At first glance, Fruit Factory looks like a classic fruit machine. Look a little closer and you’ll notice the industrial feel that makes up the reels. Reminding me of jumping down a pipe in that other 80s classic, Mario Bros. Who knew a career in plumbing could be that much fun?

You’ll find plenty of juicy symbols and the highest paying fruit is the watermelon. But what you really want to look out for in terms of big payouts is the pot of gold. You can also squeeze out some cash from the pineapple, strawberry and plum.

What better way to take advantage of the juicing craze?

There’s also a Wild Symbol that substitutes for all others except for the Scatter. Am I forgetting anything? Oh yeah, the Fruit Factory slot’s Scatter. More on that in the next section.

Two great features, two great games

Although this slot may appear to be stuck in another time, the minute you start spinning the wheels you’ll realise it has plenty of modern features. A bit like the new spin on Baywatch, can you believe they are making it into a movie?

You might wonder how to play the Fruit Factory slot… not to worry it’s much easier than making orange juice. And there are plenty of features to make sure your virtual juice is jam-packed with flavourful fun.

Reel Runner Bonus Round

Get three or more of the scatter symbol, Reel Runner, to activate the rad bonus round. It’s one of those rare bonus rounds that you get the feeling you’re in control of. It may seem a little complicated at first but it’s actually quite simple.

The bonus round opens with a big pie split into the fruit I’ve already come to know earlier in the game. The smaller the segment you land on, the bigger your multiplier. The fruit you choose will also decide the theme of the next part of the bonus.

The next part of the game takes you to the mini-game, a 3×3 set of reels that pays out in all 8 ways. You’ll feel like Rambo because there is no way you can lose. The reels will keep spinning until you get a win.

The number of remaining spins, depends on where the flashing light ends. If it ends on a reel that is red, your bonus round comes to an end. Racist towards the colour red, much?

Super Game Mode

Super Game Mode is really what makes this one of the best slots out there. If the regular round were a Volkswagen Golf, the Super Game Mode would be a DeLorean. Enter it by clicking on the SG logo at the bottom of the screen.

This one is for those of you who fancy a quicker game with higher stakes. Each round consists of 5 linked spins, so also great if your spinning finger needs a little R&R as you’ll only need to click once per round.

What makes this mode “Super” is the sticky wilds. You’ll also see that the wilds pop up a lot more and because they’re sticky, you’ve got much better chances of getting three and activating the Reel Runner feature. The enhanced fruit selector makes it a lot more fun to watch.

Beware though, as soon as you enter Super Game Mode your stake will automatically be doubled and your bet multiplied by 10.

Just like the revamped version of Full House, there’s something quite important missing from the Fruit Factory slot, unfortunately, there is no way to activate free spins while playing the online slot.

The Fruit Factory slot… bursting with Juicy flavour?

This blast for the past offers a lot more features than other retro games, but still lacks a few things that I have really come to expect of a good slot game. Namely a free spin round. However, for high rollers, the Super Game Mode is bound to bring extra excitement and for everyone else, the bonus round is sure to make you feel bodacious.

So why not pop Spandau Ballet into your Walkman, have a sip of your slush puppy and take a spin on Fruit Factory at one of our recommended Indian casinos?
